- Team Challenges A, B, C, D & E are available to students in kindergarten through college.
- Rising Stars! is available only to students in preschool through 2nd grade.
- Teams with members in kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades may participate in the Rising Stars! Challenge or Challenge A, B, C, D, or E.
- projectOUTREACH is available only to students in 6th grade or higher.
- High school teams can also participate in DI eXtreme.
